Official Description

This course is about building digital literacies. In this course, you will develop electronic research, communication, and presentation skills in a computer lab setting. You will learn how to effectively use VUFA (the school email and conference system). You will learn some of the basics of computer hardware, software, and networks. You will learn to use various application software tools, including word, powerpoint, animation tools, web design tools, graphic design tools, and movie editing software. The course ends with a group project in robotics, using Lego robots. A major goal of this course is help you develop information technology skills that will transfer to activities in other courses and outside the classroom throughout secondary school and beyond. Another major goal is to help you develop the problem-solving skills that will help you to confidently approach new information technology tasks in the future.
